Linda Van Beck presently holds the position of President of the Florida Daffodil Society (FDS). In addition, she oversees the FDS test garden in Tallahassee, consults on county extension service daffodil test gardens in central Florida, directs numerous demonstration gardens and public plantings in Florida, south Georgia and southeast Alabama (many in concert with local extension agents or master gardeners), and lectures to regional gardening groups.
Her daughter, Sara Van Beck, resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and currently holds the position as a Regional Director for the American Daffodil Society. She has been published in The Daffodil Journal, journal of the ADS, and The Magnolia, bulletin of the Southern Garden History Society. She manages the Georgia Daffodil Society’s historic daffodil project at Historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, and consults on historic daffodils for the Heirloom Garden at the Georgia State Botanical Garden in Athens.
